KME Pilot Launchpad is an 8-week integrated cohort program that helps global startups earn their first Korean customer proof, field validation, and partner pipeline — through two powerful tracks working in parallel.
You got the intro. You attended the conference. But 3 months later, no pilot, no contract, no reference.
Korea is digital-first, QR-native, high-trust market — but the buyer map, decision structure, and localization norms are opaque to outsiders.
Korean enterprises don't buy what's unproven locally. Without a reference customer or pilot case, your pitch hits a wall — every time.
You exhibited. You collected 200 business cards. But without structured follow-up, nothing converted into a real pipeline.
The problem isn't your product. It's the absence of a structured execution path inside Korea.
Korea rewards proof, trust, and local context. KPL builds all three — in 8 weeks.
Korea Pilot Launchpad isn't an accelerator. It's not a networking program. It's a structured, hands-on execution sprint where your team is guided to design, run, and document your first Korean pilot — or convert exhibition attendance into a real partner pipeline.
Operated by the KPL Program Office in partnership with Seoul's startup ecosystem, every activity in KPL is geared toward one outcome: leaving Korea with proof that works for your next deal.
We don't make you choose between validation and visibility. KPL is designed to build both at once.
Validate your product in real Korean conditions and build your first documented reference.
Turn your Korea exhibition booth into a partner-acquisition machine — not just brand awareness.
Market mapping, ICP definition, Korean messaging workshop, regulatory quick check
Pilot hypothesis design or exhibition prep: scripts, pre-booked meetings, lead capture system
Customer interviews, on-site demos, live exhibition execution, partner meetings in Seoul
PoC proposal delivery, LOI/MOU discussions, follow-up sprint, reference asset finalization
Rabah Chendouh, founder of BaggageEase — a luggage storage & on-demand delivery platform operating in Algeria — had a clear vision: Korea's digitally-mature travel ecosystem was the perfect first international market. What he needed was a structured path from vision to proof.
"Korea is one of the most advanced and digitally mature travel ecosystems globally — high tourist volume, QR-based culture, excellent infrastructure. It's the ideal launchpad to Asia." — Rabah Chendouh, Founder & CEO, BaggageEase
Month 1–2: Localize platform for Korean UX, benchmark competitors, validate pricing in Seoul, Busan, Jeju
Month 2–4: Hotel, hostel, café, retail, co-working, transport partners in Seoul tourist districts
Month 4–6: Live in Hongdae, Myeongdong, Gangnam — influencer campaigns, SEO, data collection
Month 6–12: Busan, Jeju, Incheon Airport — automate onboarding, B2B travel agencies, platform integrations
Through the Exhibition Connect Track and Pilot Test Track, Rabah used KPL to transform a strategic plan into executable proof assets:
Hongdae / Myeongdong / Gangnam validated as priority pilot districts through customer interviews
5 hotel & retail partner candidates identified through exhibition pre-booked meetings
PoC terms with one transport-linked operator ready for LOI signing
Proof asset ready for investor deck and B2B sales outreach in Japan and Southeast Asia
This is what 8 weeks of structured execution looks like.

🇰🇷 Korea Pilot Launchpad — We help global startups land their first Korean proof, not just enter Korea.
Everything you need to know before applying to KPL Cohort 1.
KPL is open to foreign startups from any country — including global startups with an existing Korean branch or subsidiary. Your company must have an MVP or working product, a clearly identified Korea use case, and a founder or BD lead who can participate directly throughout the 8 weeks.
Yes. Global startups that already have a Korean branch, subsidiary, or representative office are eligible and encouraged to apply. Having a local presence is a plus — KPL will focus on helping you accelerate pilot execution and partner connections rather than basic market setup.
KPL intentionally keeps each cohort to only 5 startup teams. This ensures every team receives deep, personalized program management, dedicated partner matching, and hands-on field support — not a generic group workshop experience.
The program fee is USD 3,000 per team (up to 2 participants). This covers the full 8-week program: workshops, 1:1 program management, bilingual field support, Korean messaging kit, partner intro pipeline, pilot KPI design, legal navigation, Demo Day, and all deliverable documents.
Not included: Pilot demand sourcing & testbed setup fees, exhibition booth/pass fees, and travel/accommodation — these are billed at actual cost separately.
This refers to the real-world work of identifying, qualifying, and structuring agreements with your Korean pilot partner — whether a company, hospital, city government, or retail chain. The cost varies by the complexity of your industry, the type of partner needed, and the scope of the pilot. KPL provides a clear estimate before you commit.
Weeks 1–4 and 7–8 can be handled hybrid (remote + async). However, Weeks 5–6 require physical presence in Seoul for customer interviews, on-site demos, exhibition execution, and partner meetings. This is where the most critical deals happen — presence is non-negotiable.
No. The entire KPL program is conducted in English. KPL provides bilingual (Korean-English) support for all customer meetings, proposal documents, contracts, and exhibition interactions. You focus on your product — we handle the language barrier.
KPL prioritizes industries where Korean pilot demand is strong and verifiable: AI / B2B SaaS, Climate Tech, HealthTech, Manufacturing / Industrial Tech, Retail Tech, Mobility / Transport, Smart City, Travel Tech, and FinTech. If your sector is not listed, apply anyway — we evaluate each case individually.
Track A (Pilot Test) is for teams that want to validate their product with a Korean customer/operator and walk away with a PoC scope document, field feedback report, and first reference story.
Track B (Exhibition Connect) is for teams that want to use Korean exhibition participation to build a qualified lead list, identify distributors or strategic partners, and convert booth traffic into real follow-up meetings.
Most teams find value in both tracks — KPL will help you choose the right primary track at the start of the program.
All KPL graduates receive a 30/60/90-day follow-up action plan and join the KPL Alumni Network for ongoing peer support and Korea market resources. Top-performing teams may be selected for 3 months of extended support — including deal closure assistance, additional partner introductions, and investor pipeline access.
